Megan Tobin

Coach, triathlete and open water swimmer living in the San Francisco Bay Area and Boulder, Colorado. Megan has always been an athlete; competing in various team sports, including swimming competitively and playing field hockey at a collegiate and national level. After devoting several years to building a career in technology marketing as well as a family, she discovered triathlon through her colleagues while going through a difficult divorce. What started as a way to get back in shape over 15 years ago became a passion for multisport, self-care and, perhaps surprisingly, bringing balance back into her life.

Having begun her triathlon journey as a mom of 3, full time corporate marketer and single mom, Megan both understands the demands of a busy life, but also knows that finding time for training and racing can bring so much to both you the athlete, but also help you be a better person, mom, and professional. (Yes, really.) She’ll help you prioritize your training and your life and break through mental barriers that inhibit your performance. Megan's mission is to lead by example and drive for diversity and inclusion in sport.

A multiple Ironman 140.6 and 70.3 finisher, 70.3 World Championship qualifier and marathon swimmer, Megan coaches for TMT Coaching and non-profit One with the Ocean. Megan also coaches the Women Tri Together program for Golden Gate Triathlon Club and the Zero to Sixty program for SF Triathlon Club. She is a certified short course and long course triathlon specialist.

Favorite race mantras: LFG. NFW. Losing hurts more.
