About the Event

Join Fund Her Tri UK coaches Courtney and Lily for frontcrawl focused swim lessons taking place on Mondays 7:15 - 8:15 PM at Ironmonger Row Baths.

In this first block of four lessons we will focus on the basics of frontcrawl - perfect for complete beginners or those wanting to revisit frontcrawl from the start.

Dates

Monday 7 October 7:15 - 8:15 PM

Monday 14 October 7:15 - 8:15 PM

Monday 21 October 7:15 - 8:15 PM

Monday 28 October 7:15 - 8:15 PM

Cost

These lessons are heavily subsidised with FHT UK funds and we ask for this as contribution towards pool and coaching costs.

Venue

Ironmonger Row Baths teaching pool is private from the rest of the centre and they are providing us with a female lifeguard for this session. The pool is 15m long and 1.5m deep - perfect for starting your frontcrawl journey. The pool is accessed directly from the changing rooms. Lockers require a locker token that can be purchased at reception.

Equipment

Swimwear

Hat

Goggles

Towel

Kickboard (if you have one)

What can you expect from these sessions?

Supportive, inclusive and fun women only environment (lifeguards included). A maximum of nine people per qualified coach with a four week plan to cover the basics of front crawl. We want you to leave the sessions with a clear understanding of the fundamentals of the stroke and how you can continue your own journey with swimming - whether that is through further FHT UK sessions or in your own training. A second block of four coaching sessions focused on improving frontcrawl will take place this November. Details will be available on the events page shortly.

What do we expect from you?

Swimming is the most technical discipline of a triathlon and we expect you to commit to the full 4-week block. Of course, we understand that life happens, but you should sign up with the intention of attending all four sessions. Our coaches will plan the course to cover as much as possible in four weeks, whilst keeping it achieveable. You will receive individual support in the sessions but having to repeat elements of previous sessions may hold back the progression of the rest of the group.
